Sharing and Telling Network

A group of professionals working in health, social and voluntary sector in South London settings. We are concerned with disclosure of HIV in relation to children and young people. We meet at intervals decided mutually, and organised by the UK Family Project Co-ordinator at PPC in Brixton. The original aims of the meetings (2008) were

• To look at our current disclosure service, how it is being delivered and its strengths.
• To look at the issues facing our service users with disclosure and the impact on the children both affected and infected.
• To look at developing a future service that assists and encourages our service users with disclosure.

We are aware that currently services are predominantly focused on infected children, which leaves a gap in support for those who are affected.
