Fathers Group

Working closely with the fatherhood institute, the fathers group is a service that ensures fathers are receiving the fullest support and assistance with hope of allowing them to reach their maximum potential. Through meetings, fathers are able to meet other peers to build strong and lasting relationships, develop support networks and mentor each other through life’s many experiences and obstacles. Meetings take place monthly to discuss various topics such as disclosure, relationships, mental well-being, physical well-being and many others.

Through the usage of multi-agency work, meetings offer specialist guest speakers in various areas, consultation work with numerous agencies {aiming to influence policy, laws and barriers to fathers}, current information, legislation and related research, and lastly the opportunity for fathers to have a good time.

This is a service that is holistic, confidential and welcomes fathers from all walks of life that are either infected or affected by HIV.
